2023 has already proved to be full of potential weddings wise for us. We are having daily enquiries and many new grooms coming into store to make their big day plans a reality. Having custom made suits for weddings since day one of our business we are well versed in every request and have thousands of cloths in store to inspire every taste. Aswell as this, there are suits to try on to help you achieve (or discover) your ultimate wedding style. The range of looks we've made is as varied as the groom's choosing them - from tweed 3 pieces (not necessarily only for Winter) to super light summer jackets. From the most formal of evening wear to the most relaxed of linen tailoring.

We wanted to showcase some of our most recent groom's looks, this time....

Mr Black.

Mid summer, semi formal.

The brief for Mr Black's wedding at a hotel in Ibiza in mid summer was 'fairly informal' and had to be very lightweight. After much deliberation it was decided that only white trousers would do for the 'white isle' and to add a touch of decadence for this special day. The trouser is styled with side adjusters (no visible belt) and a cuff to sit atop the suede tasselled loafers, adding to the informality. This unexpected focus on the lower half proved to be the deciding element which set the tone for the whole look. Decisions normally start with a jacket but there are no rules!

The jacket cloth chosen has a soft white pattern over dark green and is in a smooth silk & wool blend which has a lovely contrast to the crisp cotton trouser and reflects the super lush setting. During the consultation we looked at photos of the hotel grounds where the wedding was going to be held and this was also the reason we made the jacket completely unstructured for the least weight possible. Peak lapels were added for a dash of swagger and finally it had to be patch pockets for such a casual affair.

Mr Black's jacket & trousers were crafted at our mill in Italy. The jacket was created from a Loro Piana silk & wool blend, the trousers from an Italian stretch cotton. He bought his pale blue Eton shirt & Crockett & Jones loafers in store. We even supplied his 'invisible' Pantherella socks for maximum comfort on the day aswell as the coolest look possible!
